Speak Up: Thank a Farmer

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s a family event where we give thanks while sitting around tables loaded with food from heritage recipes prepared by loving hands. TV comedian (Friends) Joey said, “you can’t have Thanksgiving without turkey”. Joey only got it partly right— You can’t have Thanksgiving with an empty heart or an empty stomach.
